8. PrespaNet is a conservation supergroup composed of three NGOS: the Macedonian Ecological Society (MES); the Protection and Preservation of Natural Environment Albania (PPNEA); and the Society for the Protection of Prespa (SPP) in Greece. Dedicated to the habitats and species of Lake Ohrid’s sister, Lake Prespa, it has been instrumental in ensuring better future prospects for some of Europe’s most precious nature. This document reviews the successes and challenges from PrespaNet’s work so far in Macedonia, Albania and Greece.
